SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sydney Simpson and Eve Bournias posted Sewanee's two shots on goal as they closed out regular season play. The Tigers honored their three seniors before the game but fell to Rhodes in field hockey action on Saturday morning, 4-0.

Rhodes came out strong in the first half as they had 11 shots to Sewanee's none. Margaret Starkey recorded a defensive save as she kept the Lynx off the board, but Rhodes Bella Spina found the back of the net first in the fourth minute.

Sewanee's defense came out strong in the third quarter as they held Rhodes to only one shot on goal and a save by Taylor Klesel in goal for Sewanee. In the fourth quarter, Sewanee registered two shots on goal by Eve Bournias and Sydney Simpson to end the game.

Rhodes ended with 16 shots, nine on goal to Sewanee's two shots on goal, Claire Damare recorded three saves and Taylor Klesel posted one in goal for the Tigers.

The Tigers travel to Rhodes in Memphis to compete in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament on Friday, Nov. 3 to take on Concordia Wisconsin at 1 p.m.
