Lookout Mountain, Georgia: On Tuesday, September 27th, the University of the South's Men's Soccer team took on nearby Covenant in a match up of regionally ranked teams. Sewanee would use an early two goal spurt to defeat the Scots 2-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sewanee got the scoring started early, when
David Edge scored his first of the season five minutes into the match off an assist from
Connor Cheynet.
- Nine minutes later,
Will Hawgood netted his thrid goal of the year off a pass from
Tyler Cozzie to double the Tiger lead.
- Sewanee out shot Covenant 7-1 in the first half.
- The Sewanee defense, led by
JP Furman,
Zach Shunnarah, and
Tyler Scott shut out their seventh team of the year, and fifth in a row.
- The shots were equal at 4-4 in the second half, but Covenant was not able to put a shot on frame.Â
