Salem, Virginia: On Saturday, September 10th, The University of the South Women's Soccer team took on Lynchburg in the first game of the Roanoke Invitational. A hard fought 0-0 draw was the final score after 90 minutes.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Hornets of Lynchburg got off to a hot start, firing off six shots in the first 15 minute of action.

Abby Jones would record two of her four saves in the first half.
- Jones and the Tiger defense, led by reigning SAA Defensive Player of the Week
Lacey Carder as well as
Madison Stevens and Kate Thompson held the Hornets scoreless on 10 shots in the first half.

Caroline Pulliam fired off the only Sewanee shot of the first half with about 12 minutes left, but was turned away by the goalkeeper for Lynchburg.
- The second half saw more Lynchburg shots coming at the Sewanee defense.
- Jones would turn away two more offerings from Lynchburg to keep the Hornets off the board.
- Pulliam would fire off another shot in the second half, but would miss wide.
- Jones' final save came with less than five minutes left to seal the draw.
