Sewanee, TN: The University of the South Men's Tennis team was very well represented on the 2022 All SAA Teams list, including winning two out of three major awards.
Quinn Wicklund was named SAA Newcomer of the year, and Head Coach
Felix Mann was named Coach of the Year.
Noah Holsclaw was named to the All SAA First Team. Wicklund and
Peyton Erck were named to the all SAA Second Team, and
Liam Baer,
Matt Barnett,
Jackson Davis,
Jax Harbour,
Liam Selvido, and
Gil Weston were named Honorable Mention All SAA.
Holsclaw, a Junior from Marietta, GA, had a stellar season for the Tigers, with a 4-2 overall record in conference.
Wicklund, a Freshman from Dunwoody, GA, had a great first season on the mountain. He went 13-8 overall and went 2-1 in conference play.
Erck, a Sophomore from Houston, TX, went 5-5 overall, including and 3-0 in conference play.
Baer, a Junior from Hnedersonville, NC, went undefeated this season. He went 6-0 overall, and 4-0 in conference play.
Barnett, a Junior from Hixson, TX, went undefeated in conference play this year, going 3-0.
Davis, a Sophomore from Little Rock, AR, went 9-7 overall, and 3-0 in SAA play.
Harbour, a Sophomore from Fort Lauderdale FL, went 9-3 on the year and 3-0 in conference play.
Selvido, a Freshman from McKinney, TX, went 7-1 in his first year on the mountain, and went 3-1 in SAA play.
Gil Weston, a Freshman from Milton, GA, went 12-6 over the year, and went 7-0 in SAA play.
Mann wins his second Coach of the Year Award, leading the Tigers another conference championship. In both years hhis teams have been eligible for the SAA Tournament, they have taken home the trophey.
