SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South baseball saw a five-run frame by Oglethorpe University in the eighth inning, as the Stormy Petrels defeated the Tigers, 6-3, in the opener of a three-game Southern Athletic Association (SAA) series, Saturday afternoon from Montgomery Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Everything was going right for Sewanee in the early goings, as
TJ Meyn punched a two-run base hit to center field to score
Wesley House and
Wade Sansone.
-Sewanee added the third run of the game in the sixth. With the bases loaded,
Luke Short was plunked with a pitch to score Sansone for the second time.
-After
Logan Martin tossed seven shutout innings, the Stormy Petrel offense came to life, as they scored five runs in the eight and added an insurance run in the ninth to seal the deal.
