SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South women's lacrosse team defeated Birmingham-Southern College, 12-8, in a midweek Southern Athletic Association (SAA) contest, Tuesday night from Puett Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Sewanee offense got off to a slow start, but with less than 2:30 left in the opening quarter, Sewanee scored four of the final five goals in the frame to lead 5-2 after 15 minutes.
-The Tigers took a 7-4 lead into the locker room, but the Panthers hung around in the second 30 minutes of play, cutting the deficit to two goals on three separate occasions.
-Birmingham-Southern struggled from free positions, going 0-of-7 in the game, as
Molly Morris saved four of those attempts.

Molly Morris (8-4) posted a 57.9% save percentage with 11 saves in full time.

Hadley Meadows led the Tiger offense with a career-high five goals and added three draw controls.

Emma Burns also tallied five points on four goals and an assist.

Brooke Sigmon won seven draw controls, while
Jocelyn Riopel forced three turnovers and scooped up six ground balls.
