SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South women's lacrosse team took down Hendrix College, 18-5, in a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) contest on Saturday from Puett Field as the Tigers celebrated Senior Day on the Domain.

-Prior to the opening draw, six seniors on the University of the South women's lacrosse team were recognized:
Hattie Fogarty,
Sarah Hughes,
Haley Lewis,
Hadley Meadows,
Molly Morris and
Jocelyn Riopel.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee rolled to a 4-0 lead in the first four minutes of the game en route to a 7-0 start in the first 5:12 of the contest.
-The Tigers recorded a 13-0 lead at the half and 16-0 before the Warriors found the back of the cage in the fourth quarter.
-The Purple and White improve to 8-0 all-time against Hendrix, outscoring the Warriors 130-53 in the series.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-10 different Tigers scored on Saturday, led by
Hattie Fogarty's five goals. The Memphis native also won nine draw controls.
-
Haley Lewis notched five points on Saturday with three assists and two goals.
-
Sarah Hughes,
Brooke Sigmon and Caroline Hawrlick each scored twice, while
Cat Lamm added a goal and assist.
-Sewanee forced 14 turnovers, as
Winnie Pajcic led the way with three on the afternoon.

Molly Morris (9-4) played the first, third and fourth periods in goal and saved four shots.
HENDRIX KEY STATISTICS
-Lilah Biggers recorded a hat trick and added three ground balls in the contest.
