SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South men's lacrosse team were taken down by Oberlin College, 15-10, in the final non-conference regular season match-up Tuesday night from historic Hardee-McGee Field at Harris Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The contest stayed fairly even in the first 30 minutes of play. In the second, tied up at two goals apiece, Sewanee netted three straight to push the lead to 5-2.
Davis Gillenwater scored on a man-up opportunity with 10:22 left in the half.
-Trailing 6-4 in with 6:28 left in the half, the Yeomen scored the final two goals of the half to even the contest up at six goals apiece. The momentum would stay with the visitors into the second half, as Oberlin netted four straight goals to swing the lead in their favor, 10-6.
-Sewanee made it a 10-7 deficit with an
Ashton Anton goal from
Ryan Hofstetter, but that would be as close as they would come, as Oberlin scored five of the next six to put the game away.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS

Ashton Anton posted a four-point game for the Tigers on Tuesday night, as he recorded a hat trick with an assist.

Davis Gillenwater tallied two goals and an assist, while
Luke Valentine assisted on two goals and scored on one.
-Face offs were pretty even in the contest, but it was Sewanee who had the upper hand, 15-14.
Charlie Warren won 14 for the Purple Tigers.
Greg Ix (2-2) made 12 saves for the Tigers in 60 minutes.
OBERLIN KEY STATISTICS
-Ryan Blasberg scored five goals to lead all attackers in the game, while Max Cha added five points on three goals and two assists.
-Eugene Kang recorded 16 saves in full time.
