ROME, Ga. - The University of the South track and field teams opened up competition at the 2022 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Track & Field Championships on Friday from the campus of Berry College.

WOMEN'S TOP PERFORMERS

Madison Sellers earned a new personal-best in the 3,000 steeplechase as she placed in third in the event with a 12:01.48 mark. She improved her previous best by 25 seconds to earn All-SAA Honorable Mention honors.

Jocelyn Covaney qualified for Saturday's final in the 100 hurdles, as she clocked in at 17.43 seconds to solidify the last spot. She also finished 10th in the 400 hurdles with a personal best of 1:11.78.

Lexi Vanwinkle vaulted 2.83 meters for seventh place in the pole vault.
MEN'S TOP PERFORMERS
-In the 100 meters,
Carson Coody (11.76) and
Clayton Tillery (11.85) set new personal bests on Friday.

Jack Hagan finished with a 12th place time of 17.24 seconds in the 110 hurdles, while
Patrick Rodriguez paced 39:30.46 in the 10K.
