HOW IT HAPPENED
-A leadoff double by

Peri Prestwood reached base on a walk and stole second,
Zoe Crockett loaded the bases with a free pass.
-With the bases full of Tigers,
Michaela Walker brought Bournias home after reaching base on a fielder's choice. However, for Sewanee, that would be the only run that they could scratch across in the inning.
-In the fifth, after a
Maggie Willis leadoff single and a
Hanna Judycki sac bunt,
Sarah Wright later brought her home on a base hit up the middle.
-In the bottom half of the frame, the Majors would even the score thanks to a two-run RBI single.
-In the seventh, Sewanee had an opportunity to take the lead after
Alice Charboneau reached on a two-base error. However, a double play ended the threat.
-The momentum went back to the Majors from there, as a fielding error brought across the winning run.
-The Tigers would out-hit the Majors, 8-7, in the game, but unfortunately, Sewanee would strand eight runners on base.
