BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of the South softball team saw its season come to an end in an elimination game of the 2022 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Softball Tournament, falling to Centre College, 4-0, Saturday from the BSC Softball Field on the campus of Birmingham-Southern College.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Centre earned its first run of the game on a two-out single in the top of the second before adding three in the fifth.
-Sewanee, who only had one hit through six innings, made it interesting in the seventh trailing 4-0.
Alice Charboneau led off the frame with a free pass, while
Sarah Wright earned a base knock to put runners on first and second.
-Despite a
Peri Prestwood to load the bases, the game ended on a lineout double play.
