JACKSON, Miss. - The University of the South baseball team stumbled in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) series opener with Millsaps College, falling to the Majors, 14-3, Friday evening from Twenty Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Majors got the offense going early in the first, as 11 batters came to the plate and seven scored.
-Sewanee did tack on a run in the second on a
Mike Lewishall solo home run and in the third,
Alden Wright scampered home on a wild pitch.
-The Tigers' third run of the contest came off the bat thanks to a solo shot by
Luke Short to lead off the frame.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-MIke Lewishall (2) and
Luke Short (1) each went yard for Sewanee. For Short, it is the first homer of his career.
MILLSAPS KEY STATISTICS
-Case Page went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, while Avery Brock and Bradley Pelle each drove in two runs.
