ROME, Ga. - The University of the South women's lacrosse team pulled away from Berry College in Southern Athletic Association (SAA) competition Saturday afternoon from Valhalla Stadium, as the Tigers downed the Vikings, 19-12.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Purple Tigers scored the first three goals in the first five minutes of the contest en route to a 6-3 lead after one period.
-Berry scored two straight early in the second quarter to make it a 6-5 affair, but Sewanee scored six of the next eight goals to lead 12-7 at the break.
-Sewanee's defense held the home team to just 11 shots in the second half and 13 turnovers.

Hattie Fogarty,
Emma Burns and
Brooke Sigmon led the Tigers with five points each. Fogarty posted four goals and an assist, while Burns and Sigmon each tallied two goals and three dimes each.

Jessica Southworth each forced four turnovers., while
Hadley Meadows recorded a hat trick and won five draws.

Molly Morris (7-4) posted eight saves in full time.

-Molley Cross had three goals and assists each in the game for the Vikings, while Haley Larsen forced seven turnovers on defense and scored four times on offense.
-Ally Washburn saved nine shots in full time.
