HOW IT HAPPENED
-Centre had the bats going from the start, as Maddison Ellis was off to the races for an inside-the-park home run in the bottom of the first.

-Sewanee had an opportunity to dent the scoreboard in the top of the third. After a leadoff walk by Michaela Walker and a Maggie Willis base knock, Alice Charboneau laced a base hit to right field, but Jenna Speer, who pinch ran for Walker, was gunned down at the plate to end the threat.

-The Colonels put the game away with four runs in the frame.

SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Maggie Willis and Peri Prestwood each tallied two hits for the Tigers. Prestwood had a double in the Tigers' setback.

CENTRE KEY STATISTICS
-Riley McCue posted a triple as she drove in an RBI and scored a run.
