SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South women's basketball team dropped the regular season finale to Berry College, 53-46, Sunday afternoon from Juhan Gymnasium in a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) game.

CLASS OF 2022!
-Following Sunday's contest, the women's basketball program honored its five seniors:
Kinsley Logan,
Keisha Phillips,
Ashley Stewart,
Ellie Treanton and
Abby Young.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Purple Tigers made a big layup with less than 30 seconds left in the half make the game, 24-17, at intermission.
-Sewanee maintained the lead going into the fourth quarter, but the visitors used a 24-9 run in the final stanza to steal the victory from the Tigers.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS

Keisha Phillips recorded 12 points with three steals and two blocks.

Kayla Antoine scored 10 points off the bench with five boards.
BERRY KEY STATISTICS
-Kenadie Lee led all scorers with 19 points off the bench, followed by 12 from Sydney Blankenship.

The 2022 Southern Athletic Association Tournament will commence next Sunday, Feb. 20 with the quarterfinal round. Matchups and game times will be announced after the conference schedule concludes on Wednesday.
