ATLANTA - The University of the South men's basketball team defeated Brevard College, 85-68, Friday afternoon from Dorough Field House on the campus of Oglethorpe University in the final day of the Jack Berkshire Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Tied at 20 with 9:20 left in the opening half, the Purple and White scored 12 of the next 16 to push the score to 32-24 in favor of Sewanee with 4:47 left in the period.
-Sewanee extended its lead with a 13-7 run to lead by 14 points, 45-31.
-In the second half, the Tigers made it a 23-point affair, 58-35, after a second-chance opportunity by
Eli Holland.

Colin Kahl led the Tigers with 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting. He also grabbed eight rebounds and added a career-best six dimes.

Tre Corrigan posted 17 points and dished out eight assists for a new career-high.

Russ Marr recorded 16 points, as he was named to the All-Tournament Team.
Luka Avaliani added dropped 13 points thanks to a 6-of-10 mark from the floor.

Eli Holland posted a season-high eight boards.
BREVARD KEY STATISTICS
-LB Boyette led the Tornados with 16 points, while Sly White posted 15.
-Quincy Carter led the Brevard rebounding game with seven.

The Tigers will step back into conference play next Friday, January 6, as Hendrix College makes the trip to the Domain for an 8 p.m. tip from Juhan Gymnasium.
