JP Furman,
Zach Shunnarah,
Connor Cheynet and
Will Hawgood.
JP Furman | Sr. | Goalkeeper
The Senior from Mandeville, LA had an outstanding final campaign as a Tiger, starting all 17 games and earning Second Team All SAA honors. In the classroom, Furman is a standout, and has garnered the following honors.
- Carey Fellowship (University's business honors program)
- Semester Internship with Mansfield Energy in GA
- Summer Internship with Mansfield Power and Gas in Houston
- Presented EV charging station research and recommendation to Sewanee OESS
- Sewanee Arcadian (tour guide)
- Director of Logistics - Tiger Student Ventures (current)
Zach Shunnarah | Sr. | Defender
A captain in his final season at Sewanee, the Birmingham, AL native shined, starting all 17 games for the Tigers, who went 13-4. Shunnarah scored two goals, both on penalty kicks, Including a goal to defeat Centre in the SAA Tournament Quarterfinals. He was named First Team All SAA. His list of honors in the classroom is lengthy and includes the following:

Connor Cheynet | Jr. | Midfielder
Playing in all 17 games and starting 16 of them, Cheynet was an impact player in the middle of the field. Off the field, he has a long list of academic achievements.

Will Hawgood | So. | Midfielder
Hawgood played in 14 games and started 12, scoring three goals and adding an assist for a seven point season for the sophomore from Cincinnati. He was named Honorable Mention All SAA. His list of academic achievements includes:

The 2022 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on Dec. 7.
