Kate Thomson,
Brianna Fee,
Ashlyn Richards and
Abbie Kleckley.Â
Kate Thomson | So. | Defender
Thomson had a standout 2022 season for the Tigers. She started 18 out of 19 games, leading Sewanee to the SAA Regular Season Championship and to an appearance in the SAA Title game. She scored two goals this year, both game winners. She was named SAA Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-SAA. Her list of academic achievements incudes being a member of the Order of the Gown and the Diabetes Education Program.
Brianna Fee | So. | Forward
The sophomore from Lee's Summit, MO had a standout season for the Tigers. Fee scored five goals, which was tied for first on the team. Fee was named Second Team All-SAA. She is a member of the Order of the Gown.
Ashlyn Richards | So. | Midfielder
Richards started all 19 games for the Tigers in 2022. She was a strong presence for the Tigers in the middle of the field. She was named Honorable Mention All-SAA. Her list of academic achievements includes the Order of the Gown, the SAA Academic Honor Roll and the Dean's List.Â
Abbie Kleckley | Sr. | Midfielder
Kleckley started in 16 games for the Tigers in 2022 and has played in 43 career matches for the Purple and White. This season, she was a Second Team All-SAA. On campus, she is a member of the Order of the Gown, Hippocrates Fellow, Vice President of Phi Beta Kappa for Sewanee, Pre-Health Tutor, Research Fellow for Dr. Bachman's Research Collective and Member of Phi Kappa Epsilon Sorority.
The 2022 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA — for each gender.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on Dec. 6.Â
