ROME, Ga. - The University of the South women's basketball team suffered a 77-50 setback to LaGrange College in the final day of the CCS / SAA Classic, Sunday afternoon from the Cage Center on the campus of Berry College.
The annual tournament features two teams from the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) and the newly formed Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS).

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee got out to a 7-2 thanks to back-to-back triples by
Camryn Broussard and
Kayla Antoine.
-LaGrange would rally to take the 21-17 lead after one quarter and did not let up in the second quarter. The Panthers opened the frame with a 15-0 run.
-The Panthers pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Tigers, 18-8, in the period.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS

Kayla Antoine dropped a game-high 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting and added eight boards.
-Sewanee knocked down 23-of-32 from the charity stripe on Sunday, led by
Faith Humphrey's 6-of-6 and
Shay Conn's 7-of-11.
LAGRANGE KEY STATISTICS
-Gracie Brunel led the Panthers with 13 points in 17 minutes, Jada Strickland added 11 points.

The home opener for the University of the South happens on Tuesday when Asbury University makes the trek to the Domain. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside Juhan Gymnasium.
