ROME, Ga. - The University of the South women's golf finished the fall slate of the 2022-23 on a high note, as the Tigers fired a 36-hole score of 613 to earn second place at the Chick-Fil-A Collegiate from the Coosa Country Club on Oct. 24-25.

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
-Two Tigers wrapped up the tournament in the top-five of the individual tournament.
Merrick Semans led the Purple and White with a 36-hole score of 148 (73-75), missing her career-best by two strokes that she set earlier this year in Montgomery, Ala.
-In Tuesday's final round, the junior achieved an eagle on the 13th hole, a par-5. The day before, she fired one of her six birdies on the 13th. Leading the way in par-5s with a 4.50 stroke average, Semans averaged 4.25 strokes on par-4s.
-Freshman
Jane Stilz posted similar 76 scores, but her final round score moved her up two spots to finish seventh overall. Stiltz was second in the field in par 3s with a 2.88 average and was even on par-5s.

Nicole Nesbitt moved up seven spots on Tuesday to finish 15th in the tournament with a 155 (80-75), while
E.C. Niebauer scored a 162 (80-82) over the two-day event.

Sabrina Nesbitt rounded out the Sewanee scoring with a 27th place score of 164 (86-78). She also ascended in the leaderboard on Tuesday, moving up 13 spots.
-Sarah Hsu of Oglethorpe ran away with medalist honors with a 141 to secure the championship by six strokes.
TEAM LEADERBOARD
-Sewanee fired the second-best scores in each round of the tournament this week. After carding a team score of 309 in Monday's opening round, the Purple and White recorded a 304 in Tuesday's final round to finish with a 613.
-No. 9 Methodist (N.C.) cruised to the team championship with identical 301 scores to finish 11 strokes ahead of Sewanee (602).
UP NEXT
With the fall schedule in the books, Sewanee will return for the Easter Semester in March for the Savannah Invitational. The 2023 Southern Athletic Association Championships will occur April 28-30 from GreyStone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn.
