Women's Golf Stays Competitive at Golfweek Fall Invitational

MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. - The University of the South women's golf team placed in 16th place with strong competition at the Golfweek Fall Invitational, hosted at the Baytowne Golf Club.

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
-Merrick Semans led the Purple and White with a score of 233 (80-70-83) for 35th overall. In the second round, she fired a two-under-par as she averaged 3.07 strokes on par 3s. 

-E.C. Niebauer carded a 234 (78-74-82) to pick up a 37th place finish. 

-Sabrina Nesbitt recorded a 238 (80-74-84), while Jane Stilz fired a 242 (82-80-80). 

-K.C. Bell rounded out the Sewanee scoring with a 257 (91-82-84). 

TEAM LEADERBOARD
-Playing its first 54-hole tournament of the year, Sewanee recorded a score of 947 (320-298-329) over the three-day event. 

-Emory posted three sub-300 scores to cruise to a 12-stroke win (874). 

UP NEXT
The Tigers will conclude the fall schedule next week at the Chick-Fil-A Collegiate from Rome, Georgia.
