Sewanee, Tenn: On Monday, October 10th, the SAA announced their Field Hockey Players of the Week, with Sewanee winning their first award of the season. Sophomore Goalkeeper
Claire Damare was named Defensive Player of the Week for her 20 save performance in a loss against Rhodes.
Damare has been a standout for the Tigers, posting double digit saves in four of the eight games this season, including the 20 against Rhodes, and 19 in the season opener against Depauw. She is saving the ball at a 72% clip so far this season with six games left to play.
Sewanee is back in action against Centre on October 15th.
