Sewanee, Tenn: On Saturday, October 1st, the University of the South Field Hockey team took on Concordia Wisconsin in their 2022 SAA opener. An early flurry by the Falcons led to them coming away with a 3-0 win over Sewanee.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Falcons got the scoring started early, scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes of the game.

Sydney Simpson was able to get a shot off at the end of the first quarter, however it was blocked.

Claire Damare had six of her nine saves in the first quarter.
- Sewanee wold hold the Flacons scoreless in the second quarter, only allowing two shots to be taken.
- Concordia Wisconsin would find the back of the net one more time in the third quarter to make it 3-0.
- The Sewanee offense came alive in the fourth quarter, firing five shots at the goal and earning two penalty corners.
