Field Hockey Falls to Concordia Wisconsin

Sewanee, TN: On Sunday, October 2nd, the University of the South Field Hockey team took on Concordia Wisconsin for the second day in a row. The Falcons would come out on top, defeating Sewanee 3-0.

INSIDE THE MATCH UP:
Concordia Wisconsin (4-5, 1-2 SAA) 3, Sewanee (1-5, 0-1 SAA) 0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Falcons got on the board early, finding the back of the net six minutes into the game.
- Sewanee drew a penalty corner in the first quarter, but were unable to convert. 
- Courtney Odom fired a shot on goal for the Tigers in the second quarter, but was turned away by the Falcon goalkeeper.
- With five minutes left in the second quarter, the Falcons scored to extend their lead to 2-0.
- The Falcons would put their third in the back of the net early in the third quarter to make it 3-0.
- Claire Damare registered 12 saves on the day, including six and five in the second and third quarters. 
- The Tigers defense would hold the Flacons scorless in the fourth quarter.

- Damare finished with 12 saves.
- Odom had a shot on goal.

KEY CONCORDIA WISCONSIN STATISTICS:
- Out shot Sewanee 21-1.
