SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South women's basketball team saw a 16-point lead erased by the Majors of Millsaps College, as the visitors took the victory, 57-51, Friday night inside Juhan Gymnasium in a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) tilt.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Purple and White had a great start, as they opened the game on a 7-0 run en route to a 14-8 lead after 10 minutes.
-Sewanee posted an 8-of-13 mark from the field in the second stanza to extend its lead to 33-20.
-The Tigers would get the lead up to 16 points, 36-20, with 8:43 left in the third quarter, but the Majors held the hosts to a six-minute drought and posted a 15-0 run at one point to claim their first lead in the fourth quarter. The visitors would not relinquish the lead the rest of the way.

Ellie Treanton posted a team-high 10 points and added seven boards and six dimes.

Keisha Phillips recorded 10 rebounds to lead all players. She also contributed eight points and two blocks.
MILLSAPS KEY STATISTICS
-Andrea Rayford led all scorers with 14 points and added seven boards and two blocks.
-Helena Roe, the reigning conference Player of the Week, dropped 13 points and corralled five rebounds.
