ATLANTA - The University of the South women's basketball team dropped a 67-50 decision to the Stormy Petrels of Oglethorpe University, Friday night in a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) contest from the Dorough Field House.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Despite falling behind, 16-7, after one quarter, the Tigers was able to cut into the deficit to four points, 22-18, going into the locker room. Sewanee used a 6-2 run in the final three minutes of the half.
-The Tigers got it to a one-point affair thanks to a
Kinsley Logan triple early in the third quarter, but the hosts used an 11-3 run to push the lead back to nine points, 35-26.
-However, the Purple and White rallied again to drop the deficit back to a one-possession with a 7-0 run of their own, but it was the Petrels with the 37-33 edge going into the final stanza.
-Sewanee was able to make it a five-point affair early in the foruth, but OU used a 14-2 run to seal the deal on their home floor.

Kinsley Logan led the way for the Tigers with 21 points on 7-of-15 shooting.

Ellie Treanton added 12 points,while
Kayla Antoine contributed seven boards.
OGLETHORPE KEY STATISTICS
-Jessamy Gaetanos posted 14 points off the bench to lead the Petrels, followed by Carley Bell, who scored 13.
