DECATUR, Ga. - The University of the South women's soccer team posted a 10-1 win over Agnes Scott College in a non-conference battle, Wednesday afternoon from Gellerstedt Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Purple and White got started right away in the scoring column.
Bea Richardson recorded her second goal of the season in the third minute.
-In the 15th minute,
Abbie Kleckley netted her first goal of the season. 12 seconds later,
Madison Stevens made the pass to MimiDavis for her first strike of the campaign to make the score 3-0 in favor of the Tigers.
-
Olivia Fee (28') and
Ying Stock-Bordnick (42') recorded their first collegiate goals to make it a 5-0 affair at the halftime whistle.
-In the 49th minute,
Kelly Jette struck for two goal in a 24-second span for her first two goals of the campaign.
-Fee added a second goal in the 50th minute, while
Hadley Richardson (55') and
Gabby Elve (58') each netted a goal to make it a 10-0 affair.
-For the match, Sewanee outshot Agnes Scott, 18-8, as the Tigers were a perfect 10-of-10 on target.
NOTES & NUGGETS
-With the win, Sewanee starts the season 4-0, matching its second-best start in program history. Since the program switched to the fall season in 1988, the Tigers have started 4-0 five times (2002-03-09-14-21). The Purple and White's best start to a season came in 2004 (5-0).
-This is the seventh time in history that the team reached double-digits goals in a match. The most recent instance came in 2015, where Sewanee took down Millsaps, 11-1 on Oct. 31, 2015.
