SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South women's soccer team cruised to a 4-0 victory over the Yellow Jackets of LeTourneau University in the program's home opener, Friday evening, from Puett Field.
The match was called in the 79th minute due to lightning and heavy rain in the area.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers scored three times in a ten-minute span in the first half.
CeCe Cobb netted the first goal of the contest in the 21st minute. Nearly two minutes later,
Samantha Ferry passed to
Maggie O'Hare for the strike.
-In the 29th minute,
Gabby Elve added her second goal of the year off a
Mimi Davis cross.

Samantha Ferry, in the pouring down rain, was able to dribble and score the Tigers' fourth goal of the match.
-With the win, Sewanee matched its best start to a season, joining the 2004 team that also started 5-0. In the program's first five matches, they have out-scored their opponents, 19-1, in that span.
