CINCINNATI - The University of the South women's soccer team finished the opening week of competition with three straight clean sheets, as the Purple and White blank Mount St. Joseph University, 2-0, Sunday afternoon from Schueler Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-It did not take long for the Tigers to get on the board. In the 12th minute,
Paige Rupp passed the ball to
Brianna Fee for her first goal of her collegiate career.
-Almost 11 minutes later, after a Tiger corner kick,
Bea Richardson found B. Fee's pass for her first goal of 2021 to give the Purple and White a 2-0 lead.
-The score would hold as MSJ was out-shot by Sewanee, 14-8, and 9-4 on goal.
-It was an amazing week for the Purple and White, as they start the season with three straight clean sheets.

Olivia Rhodes led Sewanee with four total shots, three on-target.

Brianna Fee totaled three points on the day with a goal and assist and added three shots. Additionally,
Gabby Elve also had three shots off the bench.

Hanna Judycki (1-0) started and played the first half while
Abby Jones played in goal for the second half. Each keeper totaled two saves each.

-Ella Pittman and Alex Huon each totaled two shots each to lead the Lions.
