HOW IT HAPPENED
-After Sewanee's Moira Darling took a penalty corner, Caroline Pulliam found Annie West for her first goal of the season in the third minute.

-Wittenberg came out shooting to start the second period. In the 17th and 18th minutes, the Ohio Tigers had back-to-back opportunities to even the score, but after a wide shot, Barbara Canty made the save to keep them off the scoreboard.

-After West took a shot in the 23rd minute that was saved by the Wittenberg keeper, the ball ricocheted back to the sophomore for her second goal of the game five seconds later to give the Purple and White the 2-0 advantage.

-In the third, Wittenberg came out swinging as they out-shot Sewanee, 7-0, in the stanza. The Tigers almost got away with maintaining the lead, but an Allison Ormsby goal with 10 seconds left in the period sent the game to the fourth quarter all square at two goals apiece.

-Sewanee was looking for the game-winner in the fourth quarter, taking five shots, but Wittenberg's one of its two shots in the fourth quarter found the back of the cage. With less than two minutes remaining in regulation, Katie Webber scored the eventual game-winner.

-The Purple and White had two opportunities on penalty corners to even the game at the end of the contest, but they were unable to score on either chance.
