SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South volleyball team suffered a weekend split with a 3-0 loss to No. 13 Berry College inside Juhan Gymnasium, Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Berry used a strong first set to rout Sewanee, 25-15, thanks to 15 kills and a .205 swing percentage.
-Sewanee ralied strong in the next set, but it was Berry that scored the final three points to win the second set, 25-21.
-In the third set, the Vikings limited Sewanee to three kills and a -.174 percentage as they posted 12 kills en route to a 25-9 score to clinch the match.
-Berry is ranked 13th in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association poll.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS

Laurel Burkhardt led the hosts with seven kills and a .278 attack percentage (7-2-18). The freshman added three assisted blocks for 8.5 points on the day.

Olivia Jones tallied four block assists for the Purple and White.

Adele Cassidy led the Tigers with 12 digs, while
Lilly Reilly added 11.
BERRY KEY STATISTICS
-Jazzy Innis recorded 12 kills and a .450 swing percentage (12-3-20).
-Molly Bergin added 10.5 points on nine kills and three assisted blocks.
-Laura Beier had 15 digs to pace the Vikings, and she added three aces, as the visitors posted eight on the day.
