Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South volleyball team earned its first Southern Athletic Association victory of the 2021 season on Saturday with a 3-0 sweep of Oglethorpe University, Saturday afternoon inside Juhan Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee raced out to an early lead with a 25-19 set victory in the opening set as the Purple and White held the visitors to a -.065 attack percentage (8-10-31).
-In the second set, Sewanee committed just four errors (14-4-41) for a .244 swing percentage. Despite OU tying the set at 16 points apiece, Sewanee scored four straight to lead 20-16 en route to a 25-21 victory to lead two sets to none.
-From there, Sewanee dominated the third set, as the team did not commit an error in the 25-14 rout to complete the Saturday sweep.

Lilly Reilly posted a double-double for Sewanee in the victory, totaling 13 kills, posting a .400 swing percentage (13-1-30), and 12 digs.

Lydia Goffi posted 10 kills, while
Ellie Pedersen had six assisted blocks and five kills to total eight points on the day.

Adele Cassidy led all players with 17 kills and added two aces.
