MEMPHIS - The University of the South volleyball program dropped a Sunday afternoon match with the Lynx of Rhodes College, 3-1, from Mallory Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Facing set point, the Tigers could not finish the job when they led, 24-22, and the match was forced into a win-by-two situation. After the teams traded points to tie the set at 25, Rhodes secured the set point opportunity on a ball handling error. However, Sewanee used kills by
Lydia Goffi,
Lilly Reilly and
Olivia Jones to seal the set, 28-26.
-In the second set, leading 13-11, the hosts finished the set on a 12-3 run to even the match at a set each.
-Rhodes took off from there to win the next two sets to seal the match, as they posted an attack percentage of .197 (24-10-71) to Sewanee's .058 (18-14-69).
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS

Ellie Pedersen and
Olivia Jones totaled 12 kills each for the Purple and White, while
Lydia Goffi totaled 10.5 points on the day thanks to eight kills, two aces and an assisted block.
