SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South women's soccer team keeps its unbeaten streak alive to start the 2021 campaign, but it did not come easy. After 110 minutes of action, the Tigers earned a hard-fought draw with Maryville College, Sunday evening from a rainy Puett Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The teams traded opportunities in the first 45 minutes of play. In the first 20 minutes, Maryville recorded three shot attempts, one blocked by a Sewanee defender and one saved by
Leah Atkins.
-In the second half, the Tiger defense stood tall, not allowing a shot in the final 45 minutes of regulation and the 20-minute overtime periods. Sewanee recorded 10 shots in the second half and overtime, but all were off target.

Leah Atkins (2-0-1) earned her first career clean sheet with 110 minutes in goal. After facing six shots, three on target, her and the back line did not allow a shot the rest of the way.
