SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South field hockey team dropped seven goals on Ferrum College, as the Tigers posted a 7-1 victory over the Panthers, Sunday from a rainy Puett Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Moira Darling struck the back of the cage for the first goal of the game from a
Molly Wheeler pass in the eighth minute.
-In the second quarter, the Tigers secured book-end goals to push the lead to 3-0. Almost a minute into the period,
Annie West scored to put Sewanee ahead, 2-0.
-With 1:10 left in the stanza, Darline found West's pass, and the Purple and White took a 3-0 advantage.
-Despite Ferrum avoiding the shutout in the 41st minute, Darling completed the hat trick in the 51st minute from a
Bunny Rutledge pass.
-Later in the 55th minute, Rutledge also added a goal to her line score.

Caroline Pulliam struck for Sewanee's sixth goal in the 58th minute, Darling added her fourth goal of the contest with 44 seconds remaining in the game.
