CONWAY, Ark. - The University of the South volleyball team were taken care of by the Warriors of Hendrix College in straight sets, Saturday from Grove Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee posted a 6-0 start in the opening set, but Hendrix would bounce back as the teams went back and forth. Tied at 20 after a kill by
Laurel Burkhardt, the Warriors won five of the final six points to win, 25-21.
-In the second set, it was a similar start for the Purple and White, sprinting out to a 9-4 lead. However, the hosts would overcome the slow start again to win 25-21 in the set.
-Hendrix made it a sweep with a 25-18 win in the Southern Athletic Association opener for the Warriors.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS

Laurel Burkhardt led Sewanee with nine kills and recorded a .214 attack percentage (9-3-28).

Olivia Jones recorded a .313 swing percentage with five kills in 16 attempts with no errors committed.

Lilly Reilly each had 14 digs.
HENDRIX KEY STATISTICS
-Sadie Walker led all attackers with 11 kills and a .346 percentage (11-2-26).
