HOW IT HAPPENED

-Covenant used a last-second field goal at the end of the period to extend its lead to 18-13.
-However, after a slow start, Sewanee would wake up in the second quarter, and with it, the momentum pushed to the visitors. With seven and a half minutes left in the frame,
Kinsley Logan dropped a triple from the top of the key to tie the game at 18.
-With 6:12 left in the period, the Tigers claimed their first lead of the game with two free throws by
Ellie Treanton. However, the Scots answered quickly and tied the game again with a Karis McIntosh field goal from downtown.
-The teams would go back-and-forth, but the Tigers would reclaim the lead and hold it going into the locker room, 28-27. Sewanee held Covenant to 3-of-11 from the floor in the quarter and outscored the Scots, 15-9, in the period.
-The Purple and White used a strong third quarter to push the lead to double figures, 46-32, with 1:22 left in the quarter. However, Covenant used a 5-0 run late in the frame to make it a nine-point affair, 46-37, after 30 minutes of play.
