MACON, Ga. - The University of the South women's basketball team returned to competition for the first time in 622 days, as the Tigers defeated the Wolves of Wesleyan College, 57-38, Sunday afternoon from Porter Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee used a strong first quarter to make a statement. The program posted a 7-of-21 mark from the field, including three triples to take a 19-8 lead.
-Leading 28-17 at the break, the Tigers put the game away with a 6-of-15 performance from the field.
-For the game, the Purple and White forced 32 turnovers, 26 points on those instances, and they grabbed 20 offensive rebounds, good for 11 second chance points.
