ATLANTA - Announced on Tuesday afternoon by the Southern Athletic Association (SAA), sophomore defensive specialist
Adele Cassidy was honored as the SAA Volleyball Player of the Week, voted on by the head coaches of the league.
The Tampa, Fla. native tallied 53 digs on the weekend in a split over Centre and Rhodes, averaging over five in 10 sets played.
Cassidy set a new career-best in digs with 28 in the Tigers' five-set battle with the Colonels on Oct. 28.
Going into the conference tournament, she is seventh in total digs (327) and digs per set (4.36).
The Tigers will open the 2021 SAA Tournament on Friday with a rematch against Centre.
