DECATUR, Ga. - The University of the South women's basketball team dropped a 76-71 decision to Hollins University on the final day of the 2021 Agnes Scott College Tip-Off Classic from Woodruff Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-After a hot start by Hollins that saw them up 17-11 after one quarter of play, the Tigers rallied to tie the game at 18 thanks to a 7-1 run in the first three minutes of the stanza.
-Following a Hollins turnover thanks to an
Ellie Treanton steal, she pulled up for the triple to give Sewanee the- lead back, 21-18, with 6:44 left in the frame.
-Sewanee shot 7-of-13 from the field in the second quarter, while limiting HU to 4-of-11 from the floor. The Tigers held the slim one-point advantage, 31-30, at the halftime break.
-Late in the third period, Hollins claimed the lead for good, as they outscored Sewanee, 46-40, in the final 20 minutes.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS

Ellie Treanton led all scorers with a career-best 27 points on 8-of-19 scoring and 9-of-11 from the charity stripe.

Keisha Phillips was a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line as she finished with 17 points and eight rebounds.
HOLLINS KEY STATISTICS
-Unoma Aguolu led Hollins with 23 points and five boards, while Jalaya Duarte posted 21 points.
