HOW IT HAPPENED
-The two teams went back-and-forth in the first half, as no team had more than a six-point lead. However, LaGrange shot 17-of-32 (53.1%) from the floor in the opening half, and that was one better than Sewanee's 16-of-33 (48.5%). Because of that, the Panthers had a 42-38 lead.
-Trailing 60-58 with under 10 minutes to go in the contest, the Panthers went on a 13-2 run in about a 2:30 span, as the home team expanded their lead to the largest of nine points, 71-62, at the under-8 media timeout. That run would be enough for the Panthers to remain undefeated.
