MEMPHIS - The University of the South men's soccer team knocked out the 2-seed in Rhodes College, 1-0, in the quarterfinals of the 2021 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Men's Soccer Tournament, Saturday afternoon from the Rhodes Soccer Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Rhodes had nine shots in the first half, and they limited the visitors to four shots, but the contest remained scoreless after 45 minutes of play.
-Sewanee's defense stood tall in the second half. In the 60th minute, after a Sewanee yellow card was issued,
JP Furman made a big save off a free kick.
-However, after Rhodes committed a foul in the midfield, Sewanee's
Connor Dail sent a free kick just to the left of the midfield stripe perfectly in the box. However, a deflection off the Lynx keeper had the ball roll into the back of the net for an own goal.
