HOW IT HAPPENED
-Despite Centre getting out to an early 4-1 lead in the opening frame, Sewanee used an 11-2 run to lead 12-6 as the Tigers got out to a hot start with a .400 swing percentage (10-0-25) and the set victory, 25-14.
-The Colonels secured the next two sets to take the 2-1 match lead. However, in the third, it was definitely a battle. Each team had 57 total attacks, and after Sewanee evened the score at 27 points apiece, Centre used a kill and a Sewanee attack error to give them the win.
-The Tigers did storm back to force a fifth set thanks to a 25-14 win in the fourth.
-In the deciding set, the teams traded points for most of the frame, but the home team secured the victory with back-to-back points to win 17-15.
