ATLANTA - The University of the South volleyball program were taken down by the Stormy Petrels of Oglethorpe University in straight sets, Saturday afternoon from the Dorough Field House, in Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Oglethorpe rolled to a 25-20 victory in the opening set, despite Sewanee winning three straight points to cut the deficit to 23-20.
-In set number two, OU posted a 7-0 start, but the Purple and White rallied back to take a 13-12 lead. Leading 18-17, the Petrels won four of the next five points to post a 22-18 en route to a 25-22 set victory.
-The Petrels took advantage of the Tigers' attack errors in the third set, as they rolled to a 25-15 victory to sweep the match.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS

Lydia Goffi totaled 11 kills and added two blocks on the day.

Adele Cassidy tallied 21 digs, while
Anna Ball added 13.
OGLETHORPE KEY STATISTICS
-Ellie Alfonso posted 10 total points with nine kills and two blocks.
-Emma Williams and Ta'Korya Green each had four blocks.
