HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers were unable to get any long rallies going against the Vikings in the first set. Berry won the first four points in the opening set and led 6-1 en route to a 25-16 victory.
-Thanks to nine Berry attack errors in the second-set, Sewanee was able to edge the hosts, 25-23 to even the match at one set apiece.
-However, Berry cruised to back-to-back set wins to secure the match, and it all came down to the front row. The Vikings out-slugged the Tigers, 32-12 in the last two frames.
-With Friday's win, Berry clinched the top-seed in the 2021 Southern Athletic Association Volleyball Tournament, scheduled to begin on Nov. 5, and the Vikings will host the weekend tournament.
