BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of the South football program could not keep up with the Panthers of Birmingham-Southern College, as the Panthers posted a 49-0 final score over the Tigers, Saturday evening from General Krulak Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Panthers had a 21-0 lead after one quarter before posting a 35-0 lead at the halftime intermission.
-In the third quarter, BSC would cough up the football as
Quinn Johnson poked the ball out and
Henry Proctor scooped it up.
-Birmingham-Southern was receiving votes in both the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) poll and the D3football.com poll.

Cade Golden posted 56 passing yards on 12-of-26.
Michael McGhee added 33 yards on the ground.

Will Irwin had 1.5 tackles for a loss as he posted nine total stops.

-Trey Patterson finished the night 10-of-11 for 223 yards and three scores, while Robert Shufford had 159 yards on the ground on 19 carries and two scores. Jon Lewis also rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns.
-Gibbs Sherrell had six total tackles to lead the Panthers.
