HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Purple and White used a sixth minute goal by
Moira Darling to get on the board for her ninth strike of the year off a
Molly Wheeler pass.
-During Sewanee's second period of play, the Tigers struck twice to take a 3-0 lead to the half. In the 18th minute,
Caroline Pulliam made it a 2-0 score thanks to a
Brennan Singer pass. Later, with 34 seconds left in the half, Pulliam was there again as she found
Mimi Wilson's pass for her third of the season.
-Darling scored again for Sewanee in the third stanza off a Pulliam cross to increase the lead to 4-0.
-The Purple and White doubled the scoring in the fourth quarter thanks to goals by Darling (46', 48'), Singer (49') and Pulliam (52').
-The Tigers' eight goals on the day ties the fourth-most in a game in program history. Sewanee last did this on Sept. 22, 2018 with an 8-2 win over Converse (S.C.).

Moira Darling tossed a hat trick with four goals on 15 total shots.

Caroline Pulliam dropped eight points on the day thanks to a hat trick of her own and two assists.

-On the day, Sewanee outshot Meredith, 47-2, including 34 shots on goal.

-Tylena Brown and Bella Allen each had a shot for the Avenging Angels, who are in their first year of field hockey as a varsity sport.
-Shae-Lynn Henderson made 24 saves in full time.
