RALEIGH, N.C. - The University of the South field hockey team earned a weekend split, as they were defeated by Christopher Newport University, 9-0, Sunday afternoon from the Meredith College Athletic Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Captains scored twice in both the first and second periods thanks to goals in the fourth, seventh and two in the 20th minute.
-CNU recorded four strikes in the third period, two off of a penalty stroke (33', 41', 43', 44').
