HOW IT HAPPENED
-The 2-6-0 record by Oglethorpe is a bit deceiving, as they went winless in its first six non-conference matches, including three ranked opponents. The Petrels scored the first goal of the match in the 22nd minute by Felipe Araujo off a deflection by the Sewanee keeper.
-In the 55th minute, after a foul in the box, Ian Farquhar struck the right side of the net. Later in the 89th minute, he added a late strike.
-Sewanee had plenty of chances to get the ball past the midfield, but Oglethorpe's defense was a bit faster in making the transitions. OU held the Purple and White to no shots on goal in 90 minutes.
