Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee softball team suffered a series sweep to the hands of Hendrix College, as the Warriors took game three of the series, 9-1, Sunday afternoon from the Tiger Softball Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-In the second inning, the Warriors tacked on the first run of the game on an RBI single. However, in the bottom half of the frame, after a Peri Prestwood double, she stole third base and later scored on an errant throw by the Hendrix catcher that evened the score at a run apiece.
-After a scoreless third and fourth inning, the visitors put a seven spot on the board in the fifth and a run in the sixth to give Hendrix the run-rule victory.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Peri Prestwood and Alice Charboneau each recorded doubles in the contest for Sewanee. Prestwood also tacked on the lone run for the Tigres.
HENDRIX KEY STATISTICS
-Jordan Mallard and Aubrey Brink each posted three hits, while Brink posted two RBI.
-Jaydan Hunt (2-0) allowed one unearned run in six innings.
UP NEXT
The Tigers will conclude the first homestand of 2020 on Saturday with Hiram (Ohio). First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for noon.
